Marketing Director, Kids Quest Inc.
Community Faculty, Metropolitan State University

“There’s a story in there…”

There’s a story in there… that was the response I received during my initial admission conversation for my graduate program at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Media, and Integrated Marketing Communications (Go Cats!). I have been infatuated with the power of stories and storytelling ever since. While most marketing and business majors consider graduate programs in communications or a traditional MBA, my program at Medill provided a nice balance of both.

My time at Medill was genuinely transformative. Not only was I introduced to great new (to me) concepts like Design Thinking, but I also met some truly unique and amazing people that were faculty or classmates. They continued to spur my natural curiosity and challenged me. Those who know me know how much I love to be challenged. Those challenges only further enhanced and verified my passion for marketing and advertising.

I do my best to share that passion with my team at Kids Quest and students at Metropolitan State University to inspire the next generation of marketers or entrepreneurs. The opportunity to serve as a Community Faculty member within the College of Management has been truly enriching and inspiring. Watching my students grow and witness their light bulb moments as things click for them has been so beneficial. I look forward to following them in their journeys as they progress in their careers.
